Chickenpox is a very common illness caused by the varicella-zoster virus. The chickenpox vaccine offers effective protection for patients who have not had chickenpox before.

When to get vaccinated:

Most people only need 1 dose of the winter Flu vaccine. A Flu vaccination is an important part of protecting yourself if you’re at increased risk of getting seriously ill from Flu.

Getting the Flu vaccine can:

• help reduce your risk of getting severe symptoms
• help you recover more quickly if you catch Flu
• help reduce your risk of having to go to hospital or dying from Flu
• protect against different types of the Flu virus

Course: One dose during the Winter months.

How it is given: You will receive an injection in your upper arm.
